Planet Warrior Education, a community-led environmental education organisation, has launched a tiered membership program that will donate 20 per cent of all membership fees to Australian ecological initiatives.
Planet Warrior Education creates education resources, online workshops, projects and corporate initiatives – all in support of the environment.
The organisation’s books and resources are developed to align with multiple United Nations Global Sustainable Development Goals.
Recently, Planet Warrior Education partnered with Odonata to provide highly engaging learning materials for The Great Australian Platypus Search, one of the biggest citizen science projects in the world.
The work received key funding from the Victorian Government. Planet Warrior Education is also working with the New South Wales (NSW) Government on the Saving Our Species (SoS) program, to produce an online module and activity book on threatened species and how to participate in local conservation. This is one of the largest commitments to conservation the state has ever made.
Planet Warrior Education’s new tiered membership model includes revenue sharing with other eco initiatives and members have direct input into where their donations are deployed each month.
Monthly membership packages come in two pricing tiers: Barred Bandicoot ($15/month) and Brush-tailed rock-wallaby ($25/month).
Members receive a new fact filled e-book each month, stimulating eco-challenges to complete, and access to Planet Warrior Education’s School of Earth member page.
Each membership also includes access to the entire e-book library; Planet Warrior Education virtual workshops, webinars, and experiences; and the Planet Warrior Education group on Discord, for connecting with like-minded members.
Planet Warrior Education Co-Founder and CEO, Hollie Newman said the creation of Planet Warrior Education was inspired to take care of the planet and educate people about how they can do this.
“The creation of Planet Warrior Education was based on the idea that we wanted to educate, inform, and empower our audiences about the natural world, and conserve Earth,” she said.
“We could see first-hand the environmental challenges that Australia and countries around the world were facing, and we wanted to create a solution that was proactive and positive, not one that centered around fear or hopelessness.”
The focus on sustainability has never been more important than now. Planet Warrior Education is committed to helping educate Australians on how to better interact with and support their local ecological systems.
“Our business model is a solution-based design for environmentally conscious individuals, where we provide the ideas and tools needed to equip our members to build a sustainable future,” she said.
“Our membership packages provide tools and training for the whole family that allow you to learn about the natural world while contributing to building a better and sustainable tomorrow.”
