The team at Pitcher Partners Newcastle and Hunter is celebrating its national group’s big wins at the two most prestigious national accounting awards.
Pitcher Partners beat the big four accounting firms, for the second year in a row, to win Accounting Firm of the Year at the Thomson Reuters Tax and Accounting Excellence Awards held on Thursday 12 November 2015.
This award follows Pitcher Partners big win at the Australian Accounting Awards where it picked up three trophies. Pitcher Partners won Firm of the Year (less than $1bn revenue) and Graduate Program of the Year awards. Its Melbourne-based tax consulting partner Alexis Kokkinos won Thought Leader of the Year. More than 350 people were at the industry’s night of nights’ black tie event in Sydney on Friday, 30 October 2015.
Local Pitcher Partners’ Managing Partner Greg Farrow said to win that number of awards in the face of such stiff competition speaks to the calibre of the firm and its people. He said the accolades provide more validation of the value of Pitcher Partners Newcastle and Hunter (formerly Farrow Wyatt) joining the Pitcher Partners’ network.
“Pitcher Partners has outstanding local expertise and knowledge of the local business environment but we are also back by a national and international team of experts to help ensure our clients get the very best advice possible,” Greg said.
