Urth Energy, one of the Hunter’s new innovative new businesses, has broken fresh ground on the electricity industry.
Urth Energy is a boutique 100 per cent Australian-owned National Electricity Retailer with a difference. The company is the brainchild of four Newcastle business partners and is focused not only on the electricity market but also on renewable energy initiatives that reduce customers’ electricity consumption and expenses. This, coupled with a company structure of low overheads, allow cheaper electricity solutions to be passed onto customers.
Urth Energy’s COO Nicola Bartlett said times are changing and customers want more renewable solutions to the energy consumption they need. Using solar to supplement their electricity needs and lower cost grid electricity is appealing to them, especially finding they can get this in a ‘one stop shop’ from Urth Energy.
“It is Urth Energy’s mission to promote renewable energy savings and sharing the profits with their customers via several innovative options,” Nicola said.
“Urth wishes to provide the Australian electricity market with renewable alternatives and be the market leader in providing electricity contracts containing real forms of renewable generation. We have proven many times that by examining and fully understanding the customer’s electricity consumption profile, that real savings can be generated for the customer.”
“Imagine you are producing the energy you need right there on your roof,” Nicola continued. “One initiative is a no cost solar option for commercial clients, a solar system is installed at no cost to the client and they pay a substantially reduced rate for electricity provided by the system as well as what is provided from the grid.”
“Customers without solar need not feel left out though, as an energy retailer Urth Energy can provide their grid supply and use the renewables Urth owns to bring down the cost to the customer even if they don’t have the opportunity to benefit from solar.”
