HMS Equipment (HMSE) has exported their first machines to China.
HMSE was awarded a Government grant from the Australian Government’s Entrepreneurs Programme 2015, to assist with exporting to China.
Group Managing Director, Jamie Howard, says the grant has given them a boost for exporting to China but also gives local manufacturing hope as they use suppliers in the Hunter.
“HMSE has designed and commercialised the HMS Mini Loader to collect fallen coal from under working conveyors. This innovative machine not only reduces the down time with stoppages but also ensures heating does not occur with excessive spillages, and therefore removes the risk involved with cleaning under conveyors,” Jamie said.
Jamie is a firm believer in giving work locally and especially to Hunter Net Group Members.
“We have won many awards for our technology and innovation because our team think outside the box and strive to improve the way things have been done in the past. For HMSE it is about improving efficiency and production with safety as an important key element.”
