Moray & Agnew begin 2020 with senior promotions

Local legal firm, Moray & Agnew, is kickstarting the new year with two senior promotions in the Newcastle branch.

Megan Palmer has been promoted to Special Counsel in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution team and Tina Kealy was promoted to Senior Associate in the Property and Estate Planning team.

Megan and Tina join ten other staff promotions, which start effective 1 January 2020, across Moray & Agnew’s local, Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne offices.

Megan’s wealth of experience is in acting for clients in contract, construction and security of payment disputes, commercial debt recoveries, general commercial litigation and administrative law.

She also specialises in mediation and arbitration as ways to resolve disputes other than through the Courts. Megan has a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and was admitted to practise in NSW and the High Court of Australia in 2005.

Tina has deep knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of property, environmental and planning law, and she’s building a strong practice in succession and estate planning.

She has a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and was admitted to practise in NSW in 2013 and the High Court of Australia in 2014.

Sean O’Sullivan, the Managing Partner at Moray & Agnew Newcastle said that these promotions are a great way to start put a start to 2020.

He went on to say that it was rewarding to be able to see these powerful women moving up in the legal sector.

“It’s also great to see more women moving into senior positions. In fact, almost 85 per cent of our office’s senior promotions over the last five years have been female,” he said
