Monica Clare Recruitment (MCR) has welcomed Trent Merrotsy to the team as a Senior Recruitment Consultant, specialising in large infrastructure projects across civil and mining, and white-collar construction.
He is MCR’s second remote worker, based on the Central Coast, servicing his locality and the Sydney market, stretching as far south as the Illawarra region.
Trent’s appointment is another nod to the MCR’s expansion along the east coast of Australia, strengthening the construction recruitment division to a team of four.
He has joined MCR with more than 10 years of recruitment experience in the Sydney market. With him, he brings a wealth of knowledge across a span of industries: white-collar construction, executive, management, and finance.
Trent said team structure and experience were the biggest drivers to joining MCR.
“Consultants at MCR have a minimum of 10 years of experience, which is unique in recruitment,” Trent said.
“You’re only as good as the people you work with, and I was excited to join a mature-minded team where we can learn and grow from one another. It’s a value-add team.”
Having spent the last five years in tier-one recruitment, Trent is thrilled to specialise in white-collar construction.
“It’s not unusual for recruitment firms to look after several verticals. A drawcard with MCR was that each consultant specialised, and was the expert, in just one. It offers you the ability to be proactive rather than reactive, and really understand the opportunity for both your clients and candidates.”
Trent had previous working relationships with Business Director, Simon Rutten; Recruitment Manager, Jenny Newell; and Business Operations and Systems Lead, Georgia Harvey.
“It was good to know some of the personalities at MCR before joining the business. I hold those colleagues in esteem, so that says a lot about the business already,” Trent said.
