Planning and Local Government lawyer Grant Long has established Long Legal to focus on providing services in planning, local government and property law.

Grant says he has a unique perspective, with the ability to provide practical advice.

“I decided to start up the business to provide a small practice that focuses on assisting clients to navigate the complex planning and property law to achieve their objectives,” Grant said.

“As I have worked as a Planner and as a Lawyer, I have an insight into both sides.”

Prior to entering full-time private practice, Grant was corporate lawyer at Lake Macquarie City Council, as well as running a small part-time practice.

Grant has also taught at the University of Newcastle and University of Technology, Sydney and offers a range of targeted in-house training.

Long Legal offers services to private individuals, developers, consultants and government clients across the wide range of legislation applying to planning and environment, property development, just terms compensation and local government.
