Football FIVE5 has announced their second Corporate Cup, which is to be held at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility on Thursday, 22 August 2019.

Having kicked off the event in 2015, this year’s event is opening the playing field with invites to local businesses to join in for the first time.

Previously, the event received ten participating teams, which included sponsors and partners such as The Good Guys, Telstra and Newcastle Permanent.

The FIVE5 Corporate Cup is an opportunity for both sponsors and local businesses in the Lake Macquarie region to network and have some fun outdoors.

Northern NSW Football CEO, David Eland, encourages local businesses to get involved and register a team in the Corporate Cup.

“The Cup provides a great networking opportunity for local businesses as well as a chance for colleagues to get out of the office and have a fun afternoon with their work teams,” David said.

“It provides an alternative to a golf day, and everyone can get involved, regardless of their skill level.”

The day will consist of eight minute, five-a-side football games followed by food and beverages.

David encourages each team to bring ten players per team and take advantage of the fun atmosphere and opportunity to network with local businesses.

To aid in the flow of the game, David gave some clear suggestions to Hunter Headline.

“While the games are short, teams should consider having more than five players, so subs can be made throughout the day,” he said.

Registration is now open and closes on Monday 19 August, which includes catering from Sidelines Function Centre.

Teams must have a minimum of five (5) players and a maximum of ten (10) players to register.
