Local health service provider, Ethos has relocated its Health Innovation Hub of 13 years from Newcastle West to Wickham.
A new, large gym area has been created for use by small groups or individuals under the guidance of an Ethos Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist.
Surrounding the gym are individual clinic rooms for physiotherapy, dietetic, and exercise physiology appointments.
A dedicated space for pre-employment services provides increased capacity for health and functional assessments.
The final stage of the fit-out will incorporate a space specifically for mat Pilates, along with the existing reformers, in addition to specialty dietetics rooms for paediatrics, NDIS clients and eating disorders.
There is a separate hot-desk and IT area for virtual work which includes the digital health offerings, FatigueTech and RESHAPE. Both programs target workplace health challenges such as chronic disease and fatigue management.
Operations Manager, Chris Morton has been the driving force behind the logistics and fit-out for the new premises.
“Clients have been extremely positive about the location and the fit out,” Chris said.
Until recently, a combination of clinical and workplace services, provided in the clinic or onsite, have made up most of the work for Ethos. Fast-tracked by COVID restrictions and market demand, Ethos has deployed increased resources for the development of technology and now offers a suite of tech- enabled health solutions.
