Independent full-service agency Enigma has announced a new leadership structure for Enigma Media, with Justin Ladmore promoted to Chief Media Officer and Partner and Amy Dascanio appointed as Managing Director, Enigma Media.
Previously General Manager, Amy will now lead Enigma Media’s 40-strong team, working alongside Managing Directors Jack Mason and Joanna Lilley across the agency’s Newcastle and Sydney offices. She will also contribute to Enigma’s leadership group, supporting its vision for delivering full-service solutions to clients.
Justin, formerly Managing Director of Enigma Media, will transition into the newly created Chief Media Officer role, focusing on growth, strategy, and Enigma’s connected creativity product.
Enigma Founder and Hunter local, Lisa Sutton Gardner, said both promotions reflect the agency’s commitment to fostering talent from within.
“Amy has played a pivotal role in shaping Enigma Media’s success,” Lisa said.
Lisa said Amy’s leadership and industry knowledge had been integral to the agency’s evolution.
“I remember the day 10 years ago when I was tasked with ensuring she transitioned up the M1 from her role at MediaCom in Sydney to Newcastle. I am thrilled to see her recognised for her contribution with this next career milestone. Her leadership and deep understanding of the evolving media landscape make her the perfect person to drive the media business forward.”
Justin, who has worked alongside Amy for over a decade, said her leadership had significantly shaped Enigma Media’s growth.
“I am so proud and excited for Amy. She has been the driving force behind the growth of Enigma Media, our media product, and our team,” Justin said.
“We have worked together for a long time, and she is the smartest media operator I know.”
As Enigma Media continues to expand, Amy said she was excited for the future.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have built over the past 10 years – fostering an environment where our people can grow, develop their careers and deliver campaigns that drive real business results,” Amy said.
“Partnering with Justin in his new role presents an incredible opportunity to elevate the business and further strengthen our media and creative offerings. I think he is secretly loving the staff now calling him ‘Chief’.”
The promotions follow the appointment of Joanna Lilley as Managing Director, Sydney, as the agency continues to attract senior industry talent.
Both appointments are effective immediately.
