After a successful inaugural DiG Festival in 2013, organisers have announced the dates for the second instalment of the Design, Interactive and Green-tech event.
The DiG Festival will be held on 16-17 October 2014 at the Newcastle Town Hall.
DiG Festival organisers Craig Wilson, Steph Hinds and Tracy McKelligott were excited about the feedback, growth and direction of the event.
“From the moment the first DiG opened, we were planning the next event. We couldn’t help it, the enthusiasm in the room from presenters and attendee’s about the next event and where DiG could go was infectious,” Craig Wilson, DiG co-founder, said.
“As organisers we’ve spoken with numerous event stakeholders and even spoken to those who missed out this year and planning for a bigger and better DiG and that is now well underway.”
“We have tweaked DiG a little to reflect the feedback we’ve received about making it even better than before, increasing the workshop content and formatting of presentations to ensure everyone can take out as much of the Festival as they can.”
Once again, the DiG Festival will be held at the Newcastle Town Hall and provide the city with an influx of visitors and innovative industry leaders.
“It’s very important to us as organisers that we promote Newcastle and the local community, and also provide a platform of innovative thinking to our community by bringing in and showcasing industry pioneers and presenters.”
A call out for speaker nominations to be part of the DiG Festival Program and the Early Bird tickets release will take place in January 2014.
