A night to remember: HRBEA’s 29th Gala celebrates region’s finest

The Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards (HRBEA) celebrated its 29th year of recognising and honouring the achievements and contributions of the business community within the Hunter region on Friday, 24 May.

The Gala Dinner, hosted Ben Ean in Pokolbin by the Hunter Region Business Hub, brought together finalists, sponsors and supporters for an evening of celebration and networking.

In total there were 350 attendees, and out of 150 submissions, the HRBEA judging panel had the hard task of picking who would be walking away with the winning titles.

“The Hunter Region Business Excellence Awards have been a cornerstone in our community for nearly three decades,” the HRBEA team said.

“Each year, we are amazed by the level of innovation, dedication, and resilience shown by our local businesses. This year was no different, and we were thrilled to recognise the remarkable achievements of our finalists and winners.

“Each winner should be proud of what they have achieved, and we also extend our congratulations to those named worthy finalists – it was a hard job to choose just a few winners.”

This year’s winners represented an array of industries and showcased the incredible talent within the Hunter community. Overcoming the challenges of recent years, these businesses demonstrated remarkable resilience and a commitment to excellence.

“The businesses honoured tonight are not just successful in their respective fields but also contribute significantly to the community,” the HBREA team said.

“Their dedication to corporate social responsibility and community engagement makes the Hunter region a better place for everyone.”

This year’s winners expressed their gratitude and shared their thoughts on what the recognition means to them.

“Winning Business of the Year and the Professional Service category is an acknowledgement of all the hard work our team has put into DBT over the years. It also gives us time to reflect on how far we have come, and the challenges we have overcome together,” Dynamic Business Technologies and Professional Services team said.

Business Leader of the Year from LJ Hooker Belmont, Steven Georgalas said this recognition is proof of their commitment to customers and employing the best team to do the job.

“We are immensely proud of these achievements, which reflect our unwavering commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction,” he said.

“To be recognised among such esteemed businesses in our region is a testament to the dedication of our entire team.”

LJ Hooker Belmont was further recognised for their team excellence with Mikayla Deans walking away a winner of the Customer Service: Individual Award.

Business Woman of the Year Winner from Morpeth Family Medical Practice, Laxmi Nahar said this award is further motivation to help patients and look after the community.

“This award encourages me even more to look after my patients and community. I dedicate this award to our patients and practice staff,” she said.

“It’s a wonderful feeling being acknowledged for what I have done for so many years.”

The HRBEA team extends heartfelt congratulations to all the winners and finalists; their commitment to innovation, excellence, and community engagement has set a new standard for businesses in the region.
