In March 2014 the Lawler national alliance joined the PKF network in Australia and at the end of the financal year the rebrand will be complete.
Steve Meyn, Managing Director Newcastle and Sydney said that the key strategic move reflected the growing importance of having a high quality global connection in the industry, whilst retaining independence in the markets in which they operate.
“As part of the Lawler alliance, we always set out to align ourselves with other like-minded member firms,” Steve said.
“These firms are driven by excellent client service and developing the careers of their teams. The success of the alliance is what led to an approach from PKF – a strong, established and respected brand not only in Australia but throughout the world.”
After twelve months growing the national relationship between member firms, Steve says it is now time for the next stage in the evolution of a truly national network, where PKF Lawler member firms align with PKF branding.
By the end of the current financial year, the organisations will have rebranded and be known as ‘PKF’ rather than ‘PKF Lawler’. This will also see the re-branding of Lawler Financial Services to ‘PKF’.
“Importantly our team will not change, we will continue to remain independently owned, locally-managed and focused on giving back to the communities in which we operate,” Steve continued.
“Our priority is to provide a quality service and high level of partner attention for all clients, big and small, and this will continue. What PKF adds to this is the ability to access a wider and far deeper pool of expertise and experience.”
“The PKF brand has seen us strengthen our service offering significantly and this will be of great benefit to both existing and new clients. Business in the current economy goes well beyond local geographical markets, thus even small business owners seek access to specialists and expertise at an international level. The PKF International network delivers this and in addition has allowed members of our team the opportunity for secondment to offices around the world.”
