A new business offering has opened at Balance City gym in the way of hot yoga and has been scheduled to encourage workers to use their lunchbreaks to stay fit and healthy.
City Life Yoga will offer members the chance to practice hot power yoga in different levels of heat, from mild and moderate to hot, allowing budding or experienced yogis the chance to choose the option that best suits them.
Wests Group CEO Philip Gardner said City Life Yoga is an exciting new addition to Balance City and the studio caters to all levels of fitness and anyone wanting to give hot yoga a try.
“City Life Yoga will provide the community with a competitive hot yoga offering that can be combined with gym facilities in a number of new membership packages, “Philip said.
“Members will also have access to Newcastle's most experienced instructors, including Lead Instructor Michael Kubitzky former owner and co founder of Newcastle Hot Power Yoga.”
Michael said hot yoga in Newcastle's CBD was great for city workers and something they could really benefit from.
“We've introduced 40 minute lunch-break classes especially for those who work in the city,” Michael said.
“Yoga is not only going to get you moving, but specifically alleviates both physical and mental stresses and tension.”
“It ushers in a calmer disposition of mind and increases positivity. These brain patterns allow for greater concentration, focus and clarity of thought.
“Decision-making is clearer, quicker and easier and our relationships with others, both in the work place and out, become more harmonious and productive.
“It’s been proven again and again that someone who is happy and healthy in the workplace is always going to be more productive and motivated.”
Balance City is currently offering an introductory 14-day trial for $20.
