The 2016 Australian Small Business Champion Awards is the largest awards program for small business in Australia with the winners of 43 industry categories.
The Hunter region has 18 finalists, including Beresfield-based Tip Top ‘n’ Tidy Waste Services.
Tip Top ‘N’ Tidy Waste Services is a family operation, established in the local region for over 15 years. They are proud of delivering a friendly, reliable and efficient service to over 800 businesses.
“This nomination is a testament to our amazing customers and outstanding employee’s who go above and beyond, each and every day,” Managing Director, Craig Hallinan, said.
“The team is buzzing with excitement after receiving a Hunter Local Business Award in November, so to be nominated on a national level is astonishing”.
One of the aims of the Australian Small Business Champion Awards is to encourage excellence.
“The Awards are a celebration of small business and its contribution to the Australian way of life”, Steve Loe, Managing Director of Precedent Productions who created and presents the awards, said.
“When the Champion judges evaluate the entries, they are looking at all aspects of a winning business; business strategies, customer service, vision, support of the local community and growth, just to name a few. It’s not always about the financial returns. There are many small business owners who will never be millionaires, but whose contribution is invaluable.”
“This National Awards Program was founded eighteen years ago as a celebration of Small Business. This program is the only national program that specifically enables small businesses to compete with and gain exposure nationally.”
The Hunter finalists will represent the local community at the prestigious Presentation Evening in April at The Westin Sydney.
