Novocastrian, mentor, author and speaker, Anne McDowell, has put her own learnings and coping strategies into a new book called Creating Eternal Optimism: Redesign Your Thinking and Transform Your Life in 30 Days.
Anne has over 17 years experience in teaching positivity and business leadership/management and has her own HR consultancy that looks at end-to-end HR, from career guidance to resume development, interview coaching to confidence building/positive thinking, professional recruitment to professional development.
Anne says that the driver for the book was that things don’t always go according to plan (business, personal life, relationships, career), so the book is instructionally designed to teach people how to remain positive, even in the face of adversity.
“The book also teaches people how to think like successful people – positive thinking attracts positivity and success, so the more positive the thought process, the more success will be had,” Anne said.
“It also teaches risk minimisation in the most powerful thing we have – the power over our thoughts – by remaining positive, even in the face of adversity, which minimises the risk to our self-esteem, self-confidence and sense of self-worth by recognising and changing the way we think on a day-to-day basis.”
The book contains 101 strategies to help readers to redesign, reprogram, rewire, recalibrate, refocus, realign and rewrite their thinking.
Creating Eternal Optimism: Redesign Your Thinking and Transform Your Life in 30 Days is available in various forms and outlets, including Westfield Kotara’s new bookstore Harry Hartog.
