Lake Macquarie City Council’s Living Smart Festival is again to be held at Speers Point Park, this time on Saturday, 27 September 2014.
Council’s Acting Sustainability Manager, Symon Walpole, said the Festival aims to increase awareness of sustainability issues and trends through music, dance, performance, demonstrations, workshops, art, fashion and food.
“This year’s Festival will focus on something we all love ‚Äì food,” Symon said.
“The Festival will feature local chefs, tips on growing your own food and clever cooking, all partnered with our local Farmers Markets.”
More than 18,000 people attended the Festival last year, making it Council’s premier eco event.
Council is currently calling for stallholders to register their interest, seeking food and market stalls, entertainment and stalls to inform the public about different ideas, innovations and products available to live more sustainably.
