The signage across the Cessnock LGA, including the vineyards district, is to be the subject of a new study commissioned by Cessnock City Council.
Council's General Manager, Stephen Glen said that the signage strategy will help support and improve the connections between local districts but also encourage greater consistency in the design and quality of the signage.
“It's important locals participate in the consultation process to ensure that the strategy reflects the aspirations and vision set by our community”.
“This study will address the City's signage at all levels, to establish ways of improving existing and new signs, and to deliver a consistent branded identity for the whole LGA whilst recognising uniqueness of all towns and villages across the community”.
Moir Landscape Architecture have been engaged to undertake the Signage Strategy. The strategy will be an important mechanism to ensure that Cessnock City provides a positive first impression to visitors, that there is adequate directional and wayfinding signage.
All members of the community are invited to come along to share their thoughts on signage and contribute to the development of the strategy at a community forum.
