Applied is a technology enabled platform offering an option to de-biased recruiting in an ethical and effective manner. Traditional hiring methods allow for unconscious biases to creep in, resulting in a high likelihood that the best candidate may be missed. By using anonymised, randomised applications and skill-based assessments, Applied reveals talent that may be overlooked via traditional hiring methods.

Kate Glazebrook:
Kate Glazebrook is Chair, Co-founder, and former CEO of Applied, a platform that has redesigned the hiring process to remove bias and help teams find the best candidate for the role, regardless of their background. Applied is passionate about social mobility and proving that you can achieve diversity, equity and inclusion by rethinking the hiring process.
Prior to founding Applied, Kate was Principal Advisor and Head of Growth and Equality at the Behavioural Insights Team, and has previously worked for UNESCO in South-East Asia, and for the Australian Treasury. Kate holds a Master in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, and a Bachelor in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Sydney.
Kate is a Trustee at the Blueprint for Better Business, sits on the Advisory Board for Tripple Ventures, and is a Venture Partner at Ada Ventures focusing on social impact.
Arden Jarrett:
Arden Jarrett is the Business Development Officer for MGA Thermal. Arden holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Newcastle and first started with MGA Thermal as a business intern while completing her studies. She has competed in both national and international innovation events and developed leadership through running and founding student associations. Arden focuses on MGA Thermal’s Business Models, Strategy, Marketing, Hiring and Investment.
