James Cudmore: Chief Customer & Digital Innovation Officer
James is a firm believer in trying things in your career you never thought you would – if for no other reason than trying new things has been central to his own successful career journey.
Over the course of some 20 years, James has worked in marketing, product, digital innovation, distribution and regulatory affairs, as well as community and charitable foundation work, and was named the Australian Financial Review’s Young Executive of the Year along the way!
More than just a diversity of portfolios, James’ career has also taken him from his hometown of Geelong to Melbourne, Sydney, London – starting in a role with Lloyds Banking Group in the British capital weeks before the start of the Global Financial Crisis (be sure to ask about that) – and now to Newcastle.
Emma Brokate: Chief Distribution Officer
A Novocastrian at heart, Emma started her career locally at Newcastle Permanent, building life-long skills, expertise, and connections, before criss-crossing the globe working for Japanese corporation Sumitomo Mitsui.
Over the past 30 years, Emma has forged an impressive career working for some of Australia’s leading institutions, while simultaneously building a family. Emma believes the key is finding an organisation that aligns with your personal values and appreciates the importance of true work-life balance.
Passionate about the local community, Emma recently joined the Greater Charitable Foundation Board, where she looks forward playing a role in improving wellbeing and life outcomes for communities.
