Senior corporate and commercial lawyer, Suzie Losanno, has joined Harris Wheeler Lawyers as a special counsel within the Commercial group.

Managing Partner Matthew Smith said Suzie was a welcome addition to the team, with her expertise spanning corporate advisory, transactional work and compliance.

“Suzie has over 15 years’ dedicated experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and securities law,” Matthew said.

“Her previous roles have given her a depth of familiarity in cross border transactions, corporate restructuring, corporate governance and contract law.”

“We have been working with Suzie since late last year and she has struck me as very friendly and approachable and I look forward to working with her further.”

Suzie has assisted public and private companies to structure and deliver numerous challenging and complex transactions in compliance with regulatory requirements.  Her aim is to work closely with clients to effectively achieve their key business objectives.

Her experience includes acting for corporates, financial institutions, private equity and investors on domestic and international transactions, across a range of industries including resources, mining, financial services, infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, retail and biopharmaceutical.

Suzie said she was looking forward to working with the Harris Wheeler team, as well as the broader Hunter business community.

“I’ve heard nothing but positive feedback about the businesspeople of the Hunter region and I have been embraced wholeheartedly so far,” Suzie said.
