Newcastle firm, Butlers Business and Law, has recently made a new appointment to complement its professional team. Chartered Accountant, Ben Crockett, will join the senior ranks of Butlers, a unique business Accounting and Commercial Law firm headed up by founding director Kym Butler.

Ben comes to the role with more than 17 years’ experience in accounting. He began his career in 1999, and for the past eight years has been a director at another local accounting firm. He said the time had come for a new challenge and being offered a senior appointment with such a ‘well-known and respected’ professional like Kym was an ‘excellent’ opportunity.

Kym said he welcomed Ben to the firm and said his appointment would enhance the Butlers client experience into the future.

Ben has experience in providing client specific advice including business tax, income tax, tax structuring for new and existing businesses, CGT, GST, FBT, Small Business Concessions, State Taxes, Self-Managed Superannuation Fund and Trust Structures. His experience covers a range of sectors including trade; retail; wholesale; medical; transport; commercial property; as well as the motor vehicle and professional industries.
