Newcastle and Lake Macquarie residential real estate agency, PRDnationwide has set up another home in New Lambton. PRDnationwide Newcastle & Lake Macquarie yesterday opened a satellite village office at 75a Regent Street.
Managing Director, Mark Kentwell, said the new office is the agency’s fourth. Mark said it makes it even more convenient for local people to have PRD help them to buy, sell and rent smarter in this premier, booming suburb and surrounding suburbs.
He said New Lambton will be the base for well-respected agents who are experts in the local area, including Diana Apostolovski, Mathew Iuliano, Darren Wiggins and Brock Ward. Diana has lived in the area her entire life.

Along with the opening of the new office, Mark released PRD’s latest property research report for New Lambton. The report shows the median house price in the suburb during the second quarter of 2017 was $715,00 and the median unit price was $453,000, representing an annual price change of 15.8% and 18.4% respectively. The median house price for the same period in the Newcastle local government area (LGA) was $613,250 and the median unit price was $480,000.
“Astute investors are currently benefitting from rental yields in New Lambton of 3.4% for houses and 4.6% for units which compares favourably to the Newcastle LGA average of 2.9% and 3.95 respectively,” Mark said.
“The short distance from the CBD and its proximity to excellent local schools, Blackbutt Reserve, Westfield Kotara and John Hunter Hospital make New Lambton and surrounding suburbs highly desirable and ripe for long-term investment.
“Our research and extensive experience in the area shows New Lambton remains a sellers’ market with buyers offering an average of 2.4% over the initial listing price.”
Mark said PRD is already a strong performer in the area according to ratings sites. The agency’s average days to sell in New Lambton is 39 days for homes and 34 days for units.
