Onesies, dressing gowns, and good old-fashioned PJ’s greeted Newcastle Permanent customers as they visited a branch on Friday.
The pyjama day is about encouraging people to dig deep and donate to the Give Me 5 For Kids Appeal, which runs throughout June.
Newcastle Permanent Acting CEO Mark Williams said the Give Me 5 For Kids Appeal raises vital funds for local children’s hospital services; supporting sick children and their families in times of need.
“Newcastle Permanent is proud to partner with KO FM and Southern Cross Ten again this year to support this fantastic initiative. This cause is particularly close to our hearts, as many of our staff and customers have relied on the expert treatment provided by the team at John Hunter Children’s Hospital,” Mark said.
“Whether you’re a Newcastle Permanent customer or not we invite you to come into a branch this month and make a donation to this worthy cause. There are donation buckets in all our braches.”
“Newcastle Permanent staff are always keen to support a good cause and have a bit of fun, so on Friday we wore pyjamas to work as a way to raise awareness and hopefully more funds,” he continued.
Donations can also be made via the Give Me 5 For Kids website.
In addition to supporting Give Me 5 For Kids, Newcastle Permanent gives back to the local community through its CommunityAssist and sponsorship programs as well as staff volunteer days.
