Hunter marketing expert Holly Martin is changing the name of her business to better reflect the advice and services she and her growing team offers to help businesses have a healthy bottom line.

Just Holly Pty Ltd is now known as The Marketing GP.

Holly said the new name also better reflected the growth of her business in terms of the services offered and the number of team members in the business.

She said her team are focused on being general practitioners in marketing because they are across all areas of marketing rather than being specialists in just one area.

“Most businesses are looking for solid, affordable and effective generalist marketing support,” Holly said.

“There are many organisations that have no marketing or disjointed marketing which means they are not firing on all cylinders.

“They are tiring of having to go to multiple specialists who don’t often work well together to market their business.

“There are new technologies and new ways of doing things, but the essential elements of marketing remain the same and we use new and traditional channels to help businesses to grow their sales to existing and new clients.”

Holly said clients can choose the type of marketing support that suits their business needs.

“We work directly with clients in the small and medium business space ensuring they have a complete integrated marketing strategy. We also run a 12-week online marketing course for micro business and sole traders, focusing on those business owners, administration managers or recent marketing graduates who want to do it themselves.”

Holly has a Bachelor of Communication and a Masters in Marketing from the University of Newcastle. Before establishing her own consultancy in 2012, she had worked in marketing roles for private businesses, government organisations and family owned businesses.

Holly is also a graduate of the Institute of Company Directors. She has provided marketing support as a board member for a number of charities and not-for-profits including ConnectAbility, Newcastle Business Club, Hunter Academy of Sport and Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation.
