New executives appointed to Leah Jay

Leah Jay has announced the recent appointment of two new executives. After 12 years in brand marketing roles, Pippa Rowntree has become the first Marketing Manager of the property management specialists. Virginia McMurray has commenced as Human Resource Manager, following more than a decade with Passmores College.

Years ago when Pippa Rowntree first joined the Women’s Royal Naval Service she says she never imagined that she would end up on the other side of the world working in marketing. After eight years in the navy where she had her first taste of marketing, liaising with international media and as administrator in the PR department, Pippa stepped into a PR and marketing role with Norwich Airport. She went on from there to be the Consumer Marketing Manager with Kettle Foods.

Now as the Marketing Manager with Leah Jay, her primary role will be custodian of the brand and development of the marketing strategy. This role is an extension of the previous communications position, as the company recognises the importance of having an experienced professional responsible for its marketing activities.

“I am very proud to join such a high profile and well established local company,” Pippa said. “Leah Jay is the leading property management specialist in NSW and I am really looking forward to contributing to its continued success.”

Virginia McMurray’s early career was with the Commonwealth Bank as a loans officer but she feels she has found her niche after this year completing her Masters in Human Resource Management at the University of Newcastle. Virginia’s most recent role was Academic Director of Passmores College and Senior Trainer and Assessor of the Diploma of Business.

Virginia says she gains satisfaction supporting and guiding staff to achieve organisational goals and their personal development. Virginia’s role at Leah Jay is to drive the people needs of the organisation and one of her key responsibilities will be the recruitment of new staff who have the right knowledge, skills and attitudes to provide the level of service our clients have come to expect.

Director Leah Jay said that Virginia and Pippa are important to the ongoing success of Leah Jay.

“The collective knowledge, expertise and experience that Virginia and Pippa bring to our company further adds to our team and will reinforce our position at the forefront of professional providers of property management,” Leah said.

“As the leaders in the industry we are constantly assessing how to improve our services through both our internal and external relations. In adding another tier to the structure, we are providing the elements for the business to continue excelling in and focusing 100 per cent on property management.”

“While Pippa and Virginia’s expertise and knowledge were vital to their appointment, equally important are the principles that underpin their professional and personal approach. The appointments were hinged on our core values, which have guided the way we have done business over the last 21 years. From this aspect we felt they fit the culture we strive to cultivate.”

Leah Jay started as a sole trader and over 23 years has become the leading property management company in the Hunter Region.
Their focus is solely on property management and they have never sold real estate. All their effort is applied to performing every facet of management well, so that the overall result for our owners is the best it can be.

Leah Jay has never lost sight of their original commitment to work for each owner of a tenanted property, so they can realise their individual goals. This dedication has been reflected as they are the most awarded property managers in New South Wales. In 2017 they were awarded both Residential Property Management Team and Residential Property Manager, in addition to Corporate Support by influential industry bodies.
