Property Solutions 101 is calling on all local businesses to get involved with their new PS101Challenge and put their money where there mouth is – literally.
Teaming up with popular local burger eatery, Newy Burger Co, the PS101Challenge is holding its first Burg Challenge on Friday, 20 October at 2pm. The challenge is to eat as many burger sliders as you can within a set timeframe.
All proceeds from the PS101Challenge will go directly to local charity, Charlie’s Run 4 Kids.
Property Solutions 101 Director, Kylie Frearson said they want to see as many local businesses getting on board as possible.
“It’s a fun way to raise money for our amazing local charities who do some spectacular things in our community,” Kylie said.
Charlie’s Run 4 Kids Director, Cheyne Waddingham said the organisation is looking forward to the challenge.
“We are excited to team up with Newy Burger Co and 101 Property Solutions in the first annual burger eating challenge. We encourage all local businesses to join in for our fundraising for 2017,” Cheyne said.
Charlie’s Run 4 Kids is a local charity through which 22 local runners run 150km from Seal Rocks to Dudley each year to raise money for a family affected by childhood cancer.
This year the runners are helping Logan Taylor’s family. Logan recently lost his battle to medulloblastoma (brain cancer).
“Every year is hard emotionally when you’re running for a sick child, but it will be particularly hard this year now we have lost Logan,” Cheyne said.
To be a part of the challenge your business will need to nominate their burg-eating champion with an entry fee of $200. 100 per cent of this fee will go directly to Charlie’s Run 4 Kids.
The winner will take the glory and be named the burger-eating champion of Newcastle for 2017 as well as awarded a trophy to keep until the next challenge in 2018.
“We are so happy to help support Charlie’s Run 4 Kids,” Kylie said.
“We’re looking forward to seeing who takes out the inaugural trophy and bragging rights!”
