National television is a piece of cake for award-winning business

Michel’s Patisserie Toronto has enjoyed an exciting start to 2017 with the business set to feature on Channel 7’s The Franchise Show on Sunday, 12 February 2017.

The program focuses on the positives, pitfalls and personalities of franchising and profiles those at the forefront of Australia’s booming small business sector.

Owners and Operators of Michel’s Patisserie Toronto, Annie and Greg Stevens, said they were picked after being awarded the coveted National Retail Association Award and Supreme Retailer of the Year at the 2016 National Retail Association’s Rewards for Excellence.

“For us to win in front of the industry’s elite, the crème de la crème, was surreal. We’re only a small business and to be judged the best over major retailers like Myer and Super Cheap Auto by our peers will be a lifelong memory,” Greg said.

“We hope this award encourages other Hunter-based businesses to showcase their business talents and highlight their diverse skillsets in a national setting.”

Greg and Annie purchased Michel’s Patisserie Toronto in 2012 and have won five major businesses awards since, including the Hunter Business Chamber’s Excellence Award for ‘Best Customer Service’.
