Maitland Serviced Offices (MSO) has launched a new shared work space in the heart of Maitland.
MSO’s WorkSpace responds to the local need for affordable and flexible office space by Hunter businesses. Launched last month, WorkSpace provides permanent desks or hot desks on the new level one of its’ premises, providing an affordable solution for people to transition out of their home office into a professional environment.
The NSW Small Business Commissioner found that two-thirds of the Hunter’s 45,000 businesses currently operate in the services sector. The majority of these are small, with fewer than four employees and revenues below $500,000 per year. As well, 20 per cent of all NSW small business operators indicated they work from home.
Tenants utilising MSO WorkSpace may do so for one day per week and build up as their needs change and their business grows, allowing the transition from working at home to a more permanent serviced office.
WorkSpace offers break-out rooms, a hot desk hub, dedicated desks and access to private meeting rooms for businesses, professionals, sole traders, consultants and students looking to work in a professional environment.
The hot desks are set up as a flexible opt in and opt out structure for people needing a desk space to work from and the dedicated desks provide flexible weekly options for people needing a more economical permanent space.
Owner, Paul Callinan said one of the most exciting things about places like WorkSpace is the ability to access quality office space on a short term basis.
“We see MSO WorkSpace being viable not only for business professionals but also for creative individuals and students needing an affordable work space solution and access to high-speed internet,” Paul said.
MSO’s serviced office tenants include financial advisors, consultants, WHS consultants,psychiatrists, counsellors, accountants and IT professionals.
MSO also offers meeting, training and conference rooms for larger groups.
MSO has been supporting businesses to setup their professional work space in permanent serviced offices since 2004 and offers a range of serviced office suites in the Maitland area.
