Local leader first in the Hunter to receive a Fellowship with Australian Institute of Conveyancers

Local businessperson and Founder of Conveyancing Services, Ian Marler has been inducted as a Fellow into the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (AIC) and has been awarded a life membership with the NSW branch of the institute.

One of only five people to receive a Fellowship with the AIC, Ian is the only representative from Newcastle to havereceived this honour.

Ian established one of the first conveyancing firms in the Hunter region, Conveyancing Services, in 1986. Established in Denison Street, the business has moved to Adamstown and has now expanded into Maitland.

Ian’s expertise in conveyancing led him to be influential in the recognition of conveyancing as a standalone profession.

Natalie Mason, who began working with Conveyancing Services in 2001 and is now a Co-owner of the business, said the recognition for Ian was well deserved.

“Ian is an amazing Conveyancer who is extremely generous with his knowledge and his time. We are incredibly grateful for his contribution to conveyancing,” Natalie said.

“Ian is a very well-respected gentleman in Newcastle and in many industries and has vast knowledge which is he always willing and available to share with anyone seeking to further their own interest in conveyancing.”

Ian is a Founding Member of the Australian Institute of Conveyancers, NSW Division, a Registered Surveyor and a Justice of the Peace.

Kat Bell, who started at Conveyancing Services in 2010 and commenced studying for her conveyancing licence in 2011, said Ian inspired her career move.

“Ian is a wonderful person and hewas part of the reason that I decided to aim for my conveyancing licence,” Kat said.

“He was always available for any questions I had and continues to be an inspiration in my career. He’s also a great friend.”

In addition to its Adamstown and Maitland offices, Conveyancing Services offers a mobile service through which they come to client’s homes or offices to provide assistance.
