A new boutique party supply business has opened its doors on Parry St, Newcastle.

Palm & Pine brings together a carefully curated mix of unique and handmade products for decorating a party, a home or for giving as gifts.

Founder of the new business, Andrea Ciotti, said the store has been busy since it opened in February this year.

“In an era of keeping up with the Joneses and bringing something unique to the table for every soiree, no matter whether it’s a first birthday or engagement, the supermarket paper plates and DIY balloons simply aren’t cutting it,” Andrea said.

“For two years, I had been travelling back and forth to America and was bringing back party supplies with me because I couldn’t find what I was looking for in Australia for the parties I was managing. I knew I couldn’t be the only person who had the challenge of wanting to host the perfect party but couldn’t find the supplies they needed to make that party unique.

“So Palm & Pine was born.”

From boutique cups, plates, napkins and cutlery to cards, unique gift wraps and a full balloon bar offering one-of-a-kind balloon bouquets and installations, the new business is designed to be a source of creativity, inspiration and the place where every party starts.

From May, Palm & Pine will also offer workshops to keen party planners on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, covering everything from pinata, garland and flag making to calligraphy.

“I love finding and sourcing new products to Australia and the Newcastle area; items that are handmade, unique, or were, until now, only available in metropolitan cities or online,” Andrea said.
