Legacy continues with new partner appointment

Specialist property, commercial and estate legal firm, O’Sullivan Saddington Clarkson Lawyers has recently expanded its team with the announcement of Matthew Clarkson as Partner.

Matthew brings more than 19 years of experience in commercial, estate, tax and property law to the firm, which has been providing legal services to the Hunter community for more than 35 years.

With the new appointment, the firm will continue to serve the region, but under the new trading name of O’Sullivan Saddington Clarkson Lawyers.

Established partner, John Saddington, said the name acknowledges the next chapter, but respects the contribution and legacy of the late Stephen O’Sullivan who passed away last year.

“We are delighted to welcome Matthew to the business. He is an asset to the firm and its clients and enables us to provide additional quality legal services and advice,” John said.

Matthew Clarkson said that he was honoured to be working with the team.

“The firm has a long and proud history of providing quality legal services to our community and the business sector and I look forward to helping it continue to build upon this legacy,” Matthew said.

The team of seven, which includes legal professionals and support staff, will continue to provide personalised legal services from the office at 23 Watt Street, Newcastle.

Looking forward for 2017, John said the firm would continue to ensure it has the right people with the right mix of expertise to deliver exceptional services to clients.

“Making sure that we can meet our clients’ needs is very important so we have firm plans to further expand the legal team in 2017,” John said.
