Solar Power Australia recently hosted the Electrical Teachers Association of NSW, comprised of TAFE electrical trades teachers, as part of their annual Professional Development Conference. The teachers were given a tour of the facilities and had an interactive discussion with Managing Director, Brett Sutherland, about Electric Vehicles and Lithium Battery Storage.
Part of the annual Professional Development Conference includes industrial site visits to look at new and emerging technologies in the electrotechnology industry.
Solar Power Australia also include ELMOFO, specialising in high performance design, build and supply of electric vehicles and components for zero emission racing and motoring.
The Association’s Secretary, Annette Bennett , expressed her appreciation to the ELMOFO team for conducting the tour and providing an informative and interesting experience for the teachers.
“It is evident that ELMOFO has a strong customer focus and a commitment to remain on the cutting edge of new technologies in the electrotechnology industry,” Annette said.
“The teachers were extremely impressed with the ELMOFO product range, and the technology currently being used by ELMOFO.”
Brett spoke with the teachers about ELMOFO’s experience with electric vehicles, including the conversion of a DeLorean from fuel powered to electric and the resulting performance, conversion of a Nissan GTR from fuel to a fuel/electric Hybrid vehicle and future projects ELMOFO has on its radar.
“It’s great to see TAFE teachers visiting innovative businesses so they have real-life examples to share with their students and show them what is possible,” Brett said.
Solar Power Australia have been delivering renewable energy solutions for over 16 years, from grid feed solar power systems on homes and businesses to tailor made lighting, communication and remote power systems. ELMOFO E-Cells are an innovative product designed and built in Lake Macquarie and, having recently been released, are already being used in a number of industrial applications.
