Hunter United announces Tim Blomfield as CEO

Hunter United has announced the appointment of Tim Blomfield as its new CEO.

Announcing Tim’s appointment, Hunter United Chairman Jann Gardner said that Tim is an exceptional thought leader.

“His customer-focus and experience in leveraging digital technology to create great services for customers in the financial sector is impressive and we are looking forward to working with Tim on delivering our plans for Hunter United,” Jann said.

“Tim brings to the role more than 20 years’ experience in financial services, having worked with UBS, NAB and Westpac in a variety of senior leadership and business coaching roles across institutional, commercial and consumer banking. On behalf of the Board, I warmly welcome Tim as the new Hunter United CEO.”

Commenting on his appointment on Monday, 9 May 2016, Tim Blomfield said he was excited about the potential of Hunter United, as a customer-first, banking alternative for people in the Hunter region and beyond.

“We are seeing rapid transformation taking place within the financial services industry where regulatory requirements, technology advancements and customer expectations are evolving quickly,” Tim said.

“This backdrop poses challenges to all industry incumbents, however it also provides opportunities and strengthens the case for customer-owned organisations such as Hunter United, with its community link, customer-first philosophy, and commitment to providing great products and services that make our lives easier.”
