Help to find your future

Help to find your future

Hunter TAFE has launched an online tool to help people determine what might be the best career path for them.

Launched Saturday at the Newcastle Knights game, findmyfuture.com.au helps people get that one step closer to identifying what job types might suit them based on their personality type.

Powered by Hunter TAFE, one of Australia’s largest regional providers of vocational education and training, the interactive web application asks users to complete a quiz by choosing a number of images and words that reflect their interests and values. Based on the user’s decisions, the tool then presents users with a personality type, career areas and courses that match their personality. Ultimately findmyfuture.com.au will guide people to what they may want to study.

Newcastle Knights players have already taken advantage of the career finder, with Kurt Gidley receiving ‘Trail Blazer’, Jaelen Feeney ‘Contributor’ and Tyrone Roberts ‘Competitor’.

Hunter TAFE CEO/Institute Director Phil Cox, a ‘Competitor’, said the tool was another way Hunter TAFE could help people discover their career opportunities.

“The interactive web application was formulated based on the many resources Hunter TAFE career counsellors use to help customers with career planning,” Phil said.

“Hunter TAFE career counsellors tick all the boxes when it comes to providing support and assistance to people with their career planning,”

“We have years of experience working with students and business in careers advice and see this as an opportunity to provide guidance to people looking to understand career options.”

findmyfuture.com.au offers career matched courses to study and users can discover teacher and student experiences at Hunter TAFE.
