Fresh look at the Business Centre

Fresh look at the Business Centre

With more than 30 years of history servicing businesses in and around the Hunter, the Business Centre has launched its new branding and strategic direction aimed to grow the region as a global leader in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Designed by Newcastle based design studio, Ronnoco, the branding represents the Business Centre’s ongoing commitment to support a strong regional ecosystem across the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid Coast.

Creative Director of Ronnoco, Raz O’Connor said the re-brand ties into the renewed vision for the centre.

“Our focus for the re-brand started with renewed vision and mission statements which revealed the team’s energy and commitment to empowering people through their business,” Raz said.

“From this foundation, we developed a brand system to apply across the primary and program identities that represents the ongoing connection between business owners and the Business Centre.”

Working side-by-side with business owners at each stage of their journey, the centre not only supports everyday business owners, it is also works with sophisticated technology-based businesses operating in international markets.

Thanks to the highly qualified team of business advisors, the centre can help a business take an idea, develop it and if there is scope, float it on the stock exchange.

With this scope of service, the centre moves into a new era and is ready to bring global interest to the region.

Since the appointment of Chief Executive Officer, Pierre Malou in February 2017, the Centre has seen significant developments including the launch of its incubator program Start House 100, Multicultural Business program and a move to a new collaborative space in Newcastle West.

With new energy and a mission to bring global interest to the region, the Business Centre offers a place to connect, develop and grow a business in a rapidly changing economy.

“Global markets are rapidly changing. We are seeing the emergence of a new economy driven by technological advancements where smaller organisations compete against industry giants,” said Pierre.

“This shift positions regional centres like Taree, Newcastle and Gosford as an exciting hotbed for innovation and entrepreneurship; the Business Centre is here to make this transition a reality.”

By nurturing connections, providing accessible services and offering global opportunities throughout the smart cities corridor (Mid Coast, Hunter and Central Coast), the centre works as the glue of the new economy emerging.

Affiliated with the Australian BEC network, the Business Centre sees its role much broader than just business advice for small to medium business – it provides a full suite of services to support business towards a sustainable future.
