Executive Appointment for rental agency

Leah Jay has announced the promotion of one of its key team members into a newly-created executive role.

Former East Maitland Manager, Cassandra Lantry, has recently been appointed Operations Manager for Leah Jay, tasked with overseeing all property management activities across the business.

Cassandra will take on a business-wide focus, reviewing the company’s procedures and policies, and helping implement new technologies to further enhance Leah Jay’s commitment to continuously improving service delivery.

A key figure within the senior management structure, Cassandra will also work closely with the senior property managers to guide and develop team leaders across Leah Jay’s Belmont, East Maitland, Hamilton and Warners Bay offices.

The promotion marks a significant milestone in Cassandra’s journey with Leah Jay, which began 12 years ago when the then 20-year-old Pelaw Main woman joined the property management specialists as a commercial property assistant.

After quickly transitioning into the role of commercial property manager, Cassandra spent the next six years servicing the needs of property owners and tenants.

Cassandra then moved behind the scenes to learn more about the business as a whole and focus on enhancing the well-respected Leah Jay brand as the Director’s assistant and marketing associate.

An aptitude for this role saw Cassandra named as a finalist in the ‘Corporate Support’ category at the 2010 Real Estate Institute of New South Wales (REINSW) Awards.

Following this up with a move into project management, Cassandra took the lead during the development and construction of Leah Jay’s first architecturally-designed, purpose-built office, which replaced the company’s existing premises at East Maitland.

After overseeing its development, Cassandra was then given the task of managing the East Maitland office, while also completing her Master of Business at the University of Newcastle.

Cassandra said achieving this academic goal helped pave the way for her transition into the senior management team and her recent appointment as Operations Manager.

“When I first joined Leah Jay I had no idea where my journey would take me, but I knew from early on that this was the right fit for me – I instinctively wanted to be a part of the future of the business,” Cassandra said.

“My role and experience have evolved as I have, both personally and professionally, during my time at Leah Jay and I really appreciate having been given the opportunities to grow and develop with the business.”

“I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together for our owners and tenants this year and into the future.”

Company Director Leah Jay said Cassandra’s promotion was testament to the experience and expertise she has developed and the high esteem in which she is held by her colleagues, as well as external stakeholders.

“This is a key role and is testament to Cassandra’s tremendous effort, including her professional and personal development over the past 12 years,” Leah said.

“This industry is always changing and we need the ability to move and adapt quickly to these changes. That’s why having an experienced, qualified and progressive professional such as Cassandra leading the team is essential.”

Leah Jay was founded in Hamilton during 1994 with a 100 per cent focus on property management. During the past two decades the business has developed an unrivalled reputation, along the way becoming the most awarded property managers in NSW.
