Digital Bootcamp coming to Lake Macquarie

Digital Bootcamp coming to Lake Macquarie

A new offering for business owners and entrepreneurs is coming to the Hunter region. Digital Bootcamp is a workshop delivered by NetStripes under the heavily subsidised NSW Government’s Business Connect Program in association with the Business Growth Centre that will help local businesses make their move in the digital world.

The internet has changed how consumers and businesses engage with one another, creating opportunities for small businesses in the Lake Macquarie region to grow and compete on even terms with much larger businesses. However, it is not easy for small business owners to transfer their businesses into the digital world.

Digital Bootcamp is being rolled out all over the state for SMEs to help address that barrier.

NetStripes specialise in small business digital engagement and has been appointed as the digital specialists to conduct the Digital Bootcamps throughout NSW. Attendees to the bootcamps will receive access to NSW government-funded digital strategy advisory, so business owners can put their learning into practice.

Itis a dedicated and personalised program that has helped aspiring entrepreneurs start and or grow their small businesses.

The Business Growth Centre has taken the initiative to bring the Digital Bootcamp to Gateshead, Lake Macquarie, with the program delivered on 8 and 9 February 2018.

CEO of the Business Growth Centre, Graeme Cotton said this new year marks a new beginning, and it’s timely that SMEs in the Hunter region take advantage of this opportunity to take on the online world.

“The world is rapidly changing, and this change can largely be attributed to the impact of technology,” Graeme said.

“Whether it is using technology to extend your reach via social media, gaining credibility via your website or just being more productive with software, small business owners could benefit from the heavily discounted, world-class program delivered by NetStripes, coming away with a toolkit that will enhance their businesses.”

The Digital Bootcamp includes the fundamentals of digital strategy, through which business owners will come to understand disruption, what lies ahead in technology, the technology drivers in the next 10 years, digital strategy tools and expert tips.

The program will also provide information on how to understand your ideal customer, the psychology of their decision-making based on buying cycles and building a content strategy based on customer behaviour.

Along with the Digital Bootcamps, SMEs in the NSW region will also be given access to thedigital readiness one-on-one advisory, which is a highly structured and innovative session that helps businesses build a road map to grow and succeed online using modern digital marketing capabilities. The first four hours are fully-funded by the NSW government.

Businesses can register their interest in the program via Business Growth Centre’s website.
