Baby app builder partners with national pharmacy giant

After five years in the making, Founder and Director of The Baby Diaries app, Tara O’Connell has signed a partnership deal with a major pharmacy chain.

A handy tool for parents, the app tracks and manages a baby’s health and records his/her major milestones.

It’s been picked up by Terry White Chemmart, who will promote and distribute the parenting tool across its network of more than 450 pharmacies.

The new and improved version includes a World Health Organisation measurement tracker, a medication tracker, and records important milestones that can now be shared to social media.

“In an increasingly busy world, it’s a really valuable parenting resource because the app not only chronicle precious events, but also helps to manage the health and medical needs of babies,” Tara said.

“Parents can have peace of mind because it keeps track of WHO growth charts, important medications, reactions to new foods and even a stool tracker – features that enable them to show health professionals exactly what is happening with their little one.”

With almost four million apps on offer in the two major app stores, Tara realised she needed to do things differently if her business was going to be successful. After trialling a number of marketing partnerships, Tara found the perfect partner and collaborated under a ‘white labelled’ agreement to produce the TerryWhiteChemmart Baby Diaries.

“This exciting development has allowed me to take my micro business to another level and provided the opportunity to connect with thousands of parents during their regular pharmacy visit,” Tara said.

“It’s also given me the confidence to go abroad and begin talks with other potential white label partners in
New Zealand, Asia, Canada and the United States.”

Tara developed the baby app as a busy working mum looking to make daily routines simpler. The Baby Diaries can keep track of multiple children at the one time.
