Solicitors join forces with the Salvos

Local solicitors and law firms have joined forces to offer members of the public a significantly discounted will preparation service.

The Salvation Army Wills Day is a community event designed to try and relieve some of the confusion and anxiety associated with preparing.

This year, the Salvos have 10 local solicitors on board, including Baker Love Lawyers, Slater and Gordon, Kevin Anthony, Wiggins Cheffings Lawyers and Moray & Agnew Lawyers.

Four solicitors from Baker Love Lawyers are generously offering their time and expertise, free of charge.

“At Baker Love, we care about our local community and we are proud to partner with the Salvos to help people put their affairs in order, while raising funds for a very good cause,” Partner Terry Morgan said.

“Unfortunately none of us can control what happens in life, but we can all take steps to see that our family is protected and our wishes will be followed in the event of death or injury.”

Slater and Gordon Solicitor, Kristie Krainz, said she and another colleague were happy to lend a hand.

“The Salvation Army does great work in the Cardiff and broader Newcastle community, and Slater and Gordon is happy to provide the services of two solicitors pro bono for this unique fundraiser,” Kristie said.

This year, The Salvation Army Cardiff church will benefit from the Wills Day fundraiser, to help continue their work with individuals and families in the Newcastle community.
