Sparke Helmore Lawyers has welcomed Andrew Ferguson to its Corporate and Commercial team in Newcastle.
Andrew is an experienced Property Lawyer, working with developers on significant projects in Newcastle and the Hunter, as well as institutional and private clients across a range of property transactions.
Andrew provides astute and timely advice in the property development and off-the-plan projects space.
He is particularly skilled in assisting clients with the management of their property portfolios including sales, acquisitions, leasing, subdivisions, strata law, commercial and industrial developments, staged developments, conveyancing and contracts.
Spark Helmore Managing Partner, Alan McKelvey, said it’s great to have an old employee back with such experience to offer Hunter clients.
“I am excited that Andrew has decided to re-join the Sparke Helmore family — he was with the firm for five years from 2010 to 2015,” he said.
“Having someone with Andrew’s sophisticated property and infrastructure experience is another significant step in enhancing the outstanding solutions and service we offer our clients in the Hunter region.”
When asked about returning to Spark Helmore Newcastle, Andrew remarked that it was great to be back in such a supportive and forward-thinking team.
“It feels good to be back at Sparke Helmore. I’m looking forward to working with the strong property law team in Newcastle led by Helen Murray and Andrew Knight,” he said
“The depth of expertise the team offers in the Hunter is impressive and I am proud to be a part of that.
“I’m also excited to be part of the focus Sparke Helmore has on being a leader and early adopter of technology solutions to streamline our property service offering. Of course, I’ll continue to deliver the outcomes and personal service my clients expect, maintaining my focus on technical skill, being available and easy to deal with.”
While away from Sparke Helmore, Andrew further developed his strong property and infrastructure expertise, working on a number of mixed-use developments, industrial land developments and other major property transactions.
Andrew currently acts for Iris Capital on its redevelopment of the Newcastle Mall site; a master planned development involving four distinct stages with residential strata apartments, retail and commercial stratum spaces and shared facilities.
Andrew returns to the firm off the back of co-owning a successful property and commercial law firm in Newcastle, bringing his business acumen, expertise and exceptional service to clients.
