Project TWO (Together We’ll Overcome) is a collaborative health initiative that aims to support the community during COVID-19, while launching a new line of fresh cold pressed juice that is set to provide benefits for the community into the future.
While the handcrafted cold pressed juice products have been in development for a number of months (as a way of providing a range that is formulated to enhance immune systems), Project TWO has been designed to support our community’s most vulnerable and those who are at the frontline of COVID-19 now.
Project TWO was inspired by many local and international initiatives that are providing support to the frontline medical, health and emergency service personnel.
However, this concept has been designed to set in place a long-term approach.
Maggie Smith from The Honest Juice has handcrafted two cold-pressed juice blends that are delicious, easy to drink, and can help the elderly, immunocompromised, and workers who are at the frontline of our current health crisis to help keep healthy.
She said that the juices have been handcrafted to pack in an abundance of nutrients and vitamins to aid in building immune systems and overall health.
“It is definitely not limited to our medical people but also our police force, our teachers and other essential workers,” she said.
“Additionally, we are hoping that it will enable us to connect and help others understand that they are not alone and give assurance that we definitely are all in this together. That is the reason why we called this initiative Project TWO because we believe that Together, We’ll Overcome!”
The Honest Juice initiative is fully supported by a collaboration of local businesses which includes ATUNE Health Centres, Food Farmacy, Purser Corporate Communication and Crackler, Live Creative.
To become involved in Project TWO, they have set up two main options; to be a sponsor or a customer.
As a Sponsor you can pay for two or more bottles of cold-pressed juice that will be provided to a vulnerable individual in our community. Or pay for two or more bottles of cold pressed juice that will be provided to a frontline worker.
As a Customer you can purchase one or more sampler packs (six bottles) of cold pressed juice for yourself, your family or as a gift for a friend or neighbour, and two bottles of juice will be provided to a group of your choosing within our community.
Each pack of juice donated will include your personal, business, or organisation’s name, so that the recipient will know who generously blessed them.
The Project TWO team will sell the juices at cost, so they can continue to use produce supplied by local farmers affected by the drought.
This will also cover logistics which is enabled by the collaborative partners to make this campaign a long-term sustainability.
“We have a vision to provide 10,000 bottles of juice to vulnerable people in the region and to say thank you to the incredible people fighting against COVID-19 for us on the front line,” she said.
ATUNE Health Centres CEO, Simon Ashley, said that it is like sending flowers but with many more health benefits to a wider community.
“This is a concept that we hope will not only provide an immediate benefit but will also be a legacy for our community in the future,” Simon said.
“We believe we can play a part in the community’s collective response to the COVID-19 crisis by helping the defenceless and showing our gratitude and appreciation to those on the frontline by making these handcrafted cold pressed juices by Maggie Smith, ATUNE’s resident Certified Juice Therapy Practitioner, available to everyone.”
