Newcastle’s DFK Crosbie has taken out a national industry award that recognises it as one of the best professional services firms in Australia.
Located in Warabrook, DFK Crosbie has received the Best Accounting Firm – Audit in the Professional Services Awards 2018 (Accounting Practice Area Awards).
The business was also a finalist in two other categories, including Best Accounting Firm — Business Clients and Best Accounting Firm — NSW/ACT.
Judged by clients, the awards showcase the best small to medium firms. Each firm was rated on their expertise, reliability, communication and understanding of client needs, as well as a host of key drivers of client satisfaction. The best firms were determined by a combination of a weighted average of client satisfaction metrics, sample size and sentiment analysis of qualitative comments.
DFK Crosbie’s Audit team works closely with registered clubs and not-for-profits (NFPs), as well as government and high-turnover private businesses.
Partner and Audit Specialist at DFK Crosbie, Shaun Mahony said the team is proud to have received the national award and to be recognised for the work the business does for its clients.
“It’s a great endorsement of our audit service and the confidence it gives our clients,” Shaun said.
“When you’re a board member or shareholder, for instance, you’re entitled to know whether the organisation’s figures are accurate. Not just because you have the financial results, but because you also have a solid financial opinion that confirms you can rely on that data.”
The Professional Services Awards 2018 are run by an independent research company, FirmChecker, and supported by National Australia Bank.
FirmChecker’s mission is to help professional services firms and their clients do better business by creating open and transparent dialogue.
