Momentum grows for Hunter-based Leadership Velocity program

The Hunter-based and youth focused not-for-profit organisation, Centre for Hope has expanded its offering. It has officially launched Leadership Velocity, its business leadership development program.

CEO of Centre for Hope, Geraldine Moran said Leadership Velocity has been created over the past eight years whilst working with the NSW education system.

“We know that a young person has a higher chance of fulfilling their potential when the leaders around them demonstrate effective and supportive leadership qualities,” Geraldine said.

“This is also true in any business or organisation. After delivering Leadership Velocity to a range of prominent business experts and leaders with resounding success, it’s wonderful to see the positive impact this program is already making within our business community.”

Leadership Velocity goes beyond a traditional leadership development program.

“It is an immersive experience that focuses on the leader’s qualities, values and internal resolve to create sustainable change within teams, organisations, and communities. The program includes three months of solutions-focused coaching to transfer the knowledge into sustainable everyday actions.”

Centre for Hope Chairperson and Partner of Lambourne Partners, Chad Stead said the world is moving faster and organisations are being forced to respond to the social and technological disruption to their industries.

“Change is a necessity in organisations, and a lot of leaders are not ready for it. Leadership Velocity is a duty of care to your people; the more prepared they are to handle this fast-changing environment, the better it is for them and their organisations,” Chad said.

“As a not-for-profit, Centre for Hope needs to sustainably deliver our programs. All profits from Leadership Velocity will be used to deliver our in-school and other youth programs. By attending Leadership Velocity, you will also support the ongoing work that Centre For Hope does to inspire and create new opportunities for the disadvantaged young people in our communities.”

Centre for Hope is currently taking registrations for its next Leadership Velocity Program, to be held in Newcastle on Friday 3 August, 2018. The one-day workshop is supported by follow-up solutions-focused coaching sessions.
