Sweet and savoury delicacy bakery chain, Michel’s Patisserie celebrated its thirtieth year in business in July. Amongst franchise owners celebrating, Michel’s Patisserie Toronto commemorated 16 years in business.
Current owners of the Toronto franchise, Annie Li and Greg Stevens have owned and operated Michel’s Patisserie Toronto from 9 October 2012. In less than six years the business has won five major business awards, both on a regional and national level, including the National Retail Association award for Supreme Retailer of the Year and the Michel’s Patisserie Brand Contribution Award in 2016.
Greg said 2016 was a surreal year and that the Michel’s Patisserie Toronto is proud to put a Hunter business on the national stage, particularly outpointing the big retailers to win the supreme retailer award.
“We pride ourselves on customer service. We even won the prestigious Hunter Business Chamber Excellence award for Best Customer Service also in 2016,” Greg said.
“We regularly get involved in local community activities. One we are particularly proud of is being a sponsor of the Craig Johnston Cup for local Hunter school soccer teams. Craig was raised in the Toronto area, and is a Liverpool English Premier League legend. Craig still comes into the business to say hello when he’s in Australia!”
“We have also made many celebration cakes for businesses, clubs and individuals. We were also proud to be selected to prepare the 60th Year Anniversary Cake for the Toronto Lions Club.”
Greg said the store is proud to represent both Michel’s and the Toronto community.
The Toronto business has been showcased nationally on Channel 7 and The Franchise Show.
Michel’s Patisserie Toronto will be celebrating the group’s anniversary between 14 July and 30 September, with new products and competitions at the store during that time.
