Lyndall Robertshaw promoted to new CEO Australia role at Home in Place

Lyndall Robertshaw has been promoted to the position of CEO Australia at Hunter-based community housing provider, Home in Place.

Her new role will see Lyndall responsible for all aspects of current operations in NSW, Queensland, and Victoria, managing more than 150 staff.

Group Managing Director, Greg Budworth said Lyndall’s promotion is thoroughly deserved and will support Home in Place’s continued growth.

Greg said Lyndall has given 18 years of dedicated service to the organisation and to helping more people have the fundamental human right of safe and affordable housing.

“Lyndall has been instrumental in the success and growth of Home in Place,” Greg said.

“She is a dynamic and proactive leader who is a passionate about the community housing sector and its growth.

“When Lyndall started at Home in Place, we were a small Hunter-based organisation managing a few hundred properties. We now manage almost 8,000 social, affordable and disability housing properties in Australia and New Zealand and work on consultancy and development projects in Asia and the Pacific.

“Lyndall has led many successful tenders and the delivery of new housing through partnerships and acquisition, many large- and small-scale development projects, and managed a number of stock transfers including whole of estate locations.

“She has also led and supported key programs around tenant support and engagement and the sustainability of our operations.

“With the Australian operation in Lyndall’s capable hands I will devote more time to growing Home In Place’s presence in other jurisdictions.”

One of Lyndall’s most recent achievements was the on-time and on-budget delivery of Home in Place’s contract to build and manage nearly 500 new homes at 19 sites in the Hunter and the Central Coast.

Lyndall contributes to the housing industry in Director positions with industry peak bodies PowerHousing Australia, and the NSW Community Housing Industry Association.

She is also a member of the City of Newcastle’s Building Better Cities Committee and Newcastle Affordable Housing Working Party.

Lyndall has a Master of Business Administration, Bachelor of Business and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Her new role took effect on 1 October 2022.
