Local businesses collaborate for Design+

Design+ is a one-day event celebrating the wealth of design talent in Newcastle.

Aimed at architecture and interior design professionals, as well as members of the public, Design+ showcases the products, services and skills available in Newcastle.

Now in its second year, the event explores the collaborative relationship between design professionals and suppliers. Showrooms are transformed for the day and opened to the general public for a free, engaging, inspirational and fun day.

The event is held over two areas of Newcastle: Islington and Newcastle West where attendees can experience workshops, talks, offers, launches and pop-up food stalls. Design+ have arranged free transportation for the event by way of Newcastle’s (Famous) Tram, so participants can move between the two sites easily.

The event kicks off this Friday, 29 August 2014 with Pecha Kucha Newcastle presenting a night of talks, food and cocktails from Casa de Loco at Earp Bros Tiles. The venue will be transformed by EJE Architecture and Terras Landscape Architecture.

Design+ runs from 10am-4pm on Saturday, 30 August 2014.

Tickets are limited and available online.
