Singleton Council and the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) are seeking expressions of interest to attend an Energy Management Basics Course to be run in Singleton.

Energy Management Basics training is a practical and interactive course designed to assist Singleton businesses understand their energy use, collect and manage data, use energy more efficiently and reduce the cost of energy bills.

The course has already been proven to reduce the energy usage and bills of many businesses in NSW and will be tailored to the specific needs of running small to medium enterprises in the Singleton local government area.

Singleton Council’s Director of Planning and Sustainable Environment Group Mark Ihlein says it is pleasing that the OEH is prepared to run energy efficiency training courses in rural locations such as Singleton.

“This training course is usually run in major city centres,” Mark said. “By having the training here in Singleton it is easier and less costly for local business owners and their employees to attend.”

“Business owners have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in energy management and learn how to implement cost-reducing energy efficiency projects in their business.”

“Singleton Council is currently seeking expressions of interest to gauge demand and determine the best time to the run the course to make it accessible to as many businesses as possible.”
