Baker Love Lawyers, Newcastle’s oldest law firm, has announced that legal practitioner and former Newcastle Deputy Lord Mayor, Jason Dunn is returning to the firm.
Bringing a number of years’ of legal experience to Baker Love, Jason will deliver expertise in property law, estate planning and commercial transactions to the firm’s clients.
Jason’s current tenure at Baker Love began on 1 May. However, this is not the first time he has been part of the firm, having worked with Baker Love from 2012 to 2014.
Jason sees his return to the firm akin to coming home.
“Having been born and raised in Newcastle, I have a keen interest in contributing to the community,” Jason said.
“Re-joining Baker Love is an opportunity to give back to Newcastle in a professional capacity. The history of Baker Love is closely linked with Newcastle’s own growth and development, and the firm will no doubt be a key partner for individuals and businesses in the region as the city transforms into an emerging global city.

Jason, who completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of New England, has enjoyed a diverse career. He currently serves as a Councillor for Newcastle City Council, and was the city’s Deputy Lord Mayor between February 2016 and September 2017.
He is also a keen motorcyclist, having won three Australian historic motorcycle road racing championships in the past.
